"What's my arcana?" is the most common Destiny Matrix question. The short answer: your personal arcana is your day of birth, reduced to the 1–22 range. Here's the rule and what to do with the result.
The rule
- Born on the 1st–22nd: that number is your arcana — born on the 7th → Arcana 7 (the Chariot).
- Born on the 23rd–31st: add the digits — 25 → 2+5 = Arcana 7; 31 → 3+1 = Arcana 4; 29 → 2+9 = 11.
- Nothing else gets reduced: numbers of 22 and below stay as they are.

What's the difference between the personal arcana and the destiny arcana?
The personal arcana comes from the day of birth; the destiny arcana (karmic foundation) from the sum of day, month and year. The first is about character, the second about the life task.
My arcana is 13 — Death. Is that bad?
No. There are no bad arcana: 13 is the energy of transformation and clean endings. In its resource it belongs to people who renew their lives easily; in shadow it's fear of change.
