How Destiny Matrix compatibility is calculated

The Destiny Matrix doesn’t compare two people on a ‘match or no match’ scale. Instead it builds a third, shared matrix — the couple matrix. First, each partner’s personal matrix is built from their birth date. Then matching points are added together: day to day, month to month, center to center, across the whole chart. If a sum is over 22, its digits are added until you get a number from 1 to 22 — the arcana number.

Example: 24 March 1981 and 15 July 1990. The first matrix has a center of 11 (6 + 3 + 19 + 10 = 38, 3 + 8 = 11), the second has 10 (15 + 7 + 19 + 5 = 46, 4 + 6 = 10). The couple center is 11 + 10 = 21, The World. The other points work the same way: days 24 (→ 6) and 15 give 21, months 3 and 7 give 10, years 19 and 19 give 38, which reduces to 11.

The couple matrix doesn’t describe either of you separately — it describes what happens between you: the roles you fall into together, where the relationship gives you strength and where the same conflicts keep coming back. You can see your own chart in the Destiny Matrix calculator.

What the five zones of the couple matrix show

The core of your bond

The couple center plus the left (day) and top (month) points: what holds you together, how others see you and what draws you to each other.

Love and everyday life

The relationship entry point and the relationship corner of the ancestral square: how you show affection, share a home and get over fights.

Money as a couple

The money entry point, the material task and the money corner: how you earn, spend and agree on a budget together.

The couple's karmic tail

The three lower points: what each of you brings from past experience, how it surfaces between you and the lesson you share.

Your purpose as a couple

The couple's personal and social purpose: what you give each other and what your bond brings to family and others.

The couple center: meanings of arcana 1 to 22

Find your couple center number in the calculator. Each description covers how a couple lives when the center works at its best — and where its risk lies.

1 The Magician

A start-up couple: ideas quickly turn into action — a renovation, a move or a joint project gets launched in a single weekend. The risk: competing over who's in charge and dropping things once the excitement fades.

2 The High Priestess

A bond of quiet understanding: you read each other's mood without words and keep your shared secrets. The risk: letting things go unsaid and expecting your partner to guess.

3 The Empress

A couple that builds a home: good food, a beautiful space, children, pets, plants. The risk: disappearing into running the household and spending more than the budget allows.

4 The Emperor

A fortress couple: everything runs to plan — budget, holidays, renovation — and you are each other's solid support. The risk: fighting for control and talking to each other in orders.

5 The Hierophant

A couple with traditions: family celebrations, shared values, and you learn a lot from each other. The risk: lecturing your partner and arguing about 'the right way' to do things.

6 The Lovers

A bond built on feelings and choice: you talk a lot and love beautiful things and a shared circle of friends. The risk: doubting whether this is 'the one' and getting jealous of other people's attention.

7 The Chariot

A couple on the move: trips, relocations, career leaps — together you move fast toward your goals. The risk: always being on the go and never stopping to talk about feelings.

8 Justice

A bond of fair agreements: you split chores and money like adults and keep your word. The risk: keeping score of who did what and turning arguments into a trial.

9 The Hermit

A couple happy on their own: quiet evenings, long talks, a shared hobby. The risk: shutting the world out and retreating to separate rooms instead of talking.

10 Wheel of Fortune

A bond of change and lucky timing: you catch opportunities easily — a new job, a spontaneous trip, a good offer. The risk: living from one chance to the next and planning nothing.

11 Strength

A passionate, resilient couple: you pull each other through hard times and do a lot together physically — sport, hiking, building things. The risk: stormy fights and a clash of wills.

12 The Hanged Man

A bond with an unusual outlook: you don't live 'like everyone else' and back each other's offbeat ideas. The risk: sacrificing yourself for your partner and silently waiting for gratitude.

13 Death

A couple that goes through change together: you weather moves, career switches and crises side by side and come out changed. The risk: clinging to what's over or cutting ties in the heat of the moment.

14 Temperance

A bond of calm and balance: you're easy to be around, you make up quickly and find the middle ground. The risk: avoiding sharp topics and bottling things up to keep the peace.

15 The Devil

Strong attraction and a shared taste for money and pleasure: together you know how to earn and enjoy life. The risk: dependence on each other, jealousy and trying to control your partner.

16 The Tower

A builder couple: together you build a home, a business, plans — and tear down just as decisively whatever doesn't work. The risk: sudden blow-ups and door-slamming fights.

17 The Star

An inspiring bond: you believe in each other's dreams, create together, and people admire you from the outside. The risk: living for appearances and feeling ashamed of real problems.

18 The Moon

A bond of deep feeling: you sense each other from a distance and have your own world of jokes and rituals. The risk: guessing and suspicion instead of simply asking.

19 The Sun

A sunny couple: you're always surrounded by people, celebrations, children and laughter, and you're generous with each other. The risk: competing for attention and missing that your partner is tired.

20 Judgement

A bond closely tied to family: you bring relatives together and often become the center of a big family. The risk: relatives interfering and living by family scripts instead of your own.

21 The World

A couple with wide horizons: travel, relocations, friends from different countries and big shared plans. The risk: spreading yourselves thin and putting off finishing what matters.

22 The Fool

A light, playful bond: you're fun to be around, always up for something new and unafraid to start over. The risk: not taking money and promises seriously when it's time to grow up together.

Why there’s no compatibility percentage

Every arcana in the matrix has a best and a worst expression. A ‘difficult’ couple center doesn’t doom a relationship, and an ‘easy’ one doesn’t guarantee everything will work out on its own. That’s why we don’t give a percentage or a verdict: the couple matrix is a map of where your bond has resources and where it pays to agree on things early.

The Destiny Matrix is a numerological system for self-reflection, not a science. For another angle on your relationship, compare your signs in zodiac compatibility or read how Moon sign compatibility works.

FAQ

+How do you calculate Destiny Matrix compatibility?

Build each partner's personal matrix from their birth date, then add matching points together: day to day, month to month, center to center. If a sum is over 22, add its digits. The result is the couple matrix — the calculator on this page does it for you.

+What is the couple center?

The sum of the two personal matrix centers, reduced to a number from 1 to 22. It's the main theme of the relationship: what holds you together, what comes easiest as a couple and which pattern switches on when things go wrong.

+Can the matrix tell us whether we're compatible?

The couple matrix doesn't give a 'compatible / not compatible' verdict. Every arcana has a best and a worst expression, so it shows the strengths of your bond and the areas where it's worth agreeing on things in advance. You make the decisions about your relationship, not the numbers.

+Do I need a birth time?

No. The Destiny Matrix only uses birth dates — no time or place. That's the main difference from astrological synastry, which needs the hour and city of birth.

+Does it work for friends, parents or business partners?

The formula is the same for any two people. The money and shared-purpose zones read well for business partners and family, while 'Love and everyday life' is written mainly for couples.

+What's in the full couple reading in AstroOrbi?

Five zones — the core of your bond, love and everyday life, money as a couple, the couple's karmic tail and your purpose as a couple. For each: how you work at your best and where you break down at your worst, in concrete situations, plus three steps for the coming month. Reopening a saved couple reading is free.
